When I watched "that" defining audition of hers on Britain's Got Talent it blew me away and drew tears. I know the feeling of people being cynical about me or just disbelieving in me: what more her with the whole crowd baying for her blood (figuratively), pre-maturely writing her off. She seemed so out of place in this cruel, post-modern, Godless world - but did she have something else in mind then, and now.
This album is a testimony that God has not abandoned Susan Boyle. The vocals are outstanding against a deceptively simple accompaniment, especially on the star track "Wild Horses". Its so haunting yet it guts the heart verse by verse. She, is that wild horse, ain't she? I'd buy the album just for that song.
The rest of the selections are great and showcase her ability and range. She, to me, has a voice which is wide-ranging enough to do theatre/pop/ballads. What a blessing she is. Go Susan! Don't let the world get you down for you know who's on your side.Get more detail about I Dreamed A Dream.
