DISCLAIMER: I didn't buy this album to critique its production or technical merit.
BUT RATHER...I, like many others, bought "I Dreamed A Dream" after being touched by Susan's story and admiring her powerful vocals. This album is a million times better than the overly auto-tuned/synthesized trash put out by other artists who can't even sing. Susan's voice is pure, the songs are entertaining and each has a real meaning to the artist.
Most importantly, each track makes me feel something; isn't that what an album is supposed to do?
Am I a zombie consumer that does everything the post-American Idol music industry tells me to? Am I just another consumer tricked by Simon Cowell into buying this album so that he can profit off of it much more than Boyle ever will? No.
I'm just happy to listen to some good music. I bought two copies of this CD for myself and will probably buy some more for my friends and relatives. If any product ever truly deserved 5 stars, this would be it (simply because buying it means something to me and millions of others). Great job, Susan. Get more detail about I Dreamed A Dream.
