If you are to give the gifts that you would like to receive, then I hit it out of the ballpark this Christmas in giving this CD to my mother. I fell in love with Susan's pure, clear vocals after watching her audition on YouTube, and my mom fell in love with her style, too. She represented someone in our type of world who could wow the world; her story gives hope.
While I'm not fond of "Cry Me a River", I adore the other songs; so much so that, after my mother let me listen to her present, I had to buy it for myself. Her voice is free of all the digital tweaks that can be added to today's performers. She's got the power of Celine Dion without the types of frills that are Celine's trademark. Susan makes her songs believable even though you've heard the songs before. My particular favorite is "You'll See" and I personally think she makes the song, even though I know it through Madonna's recording. This CD is worth every penny you'll spend.
