Boy oh Boy oh Boy oh Boy.........did the sheep ever get the wool pulled over their eyes with this one! And Simon Cowell (the proverbial Wolf in Sheep's clothing) led them all to the slaughter-house. The masses became pie-eyed by the Pied Piper himself. Well done Simon! Tons of money made because of ignorance. Money for nothing, and your Boyle's Not Free!
I think that they didn't put the production into the music or production because they KNEW that she would sell huge amounts anyway, so why waste the money. Eagle eye Cowell was checking out the bottom line - and probably a mansion as well next to Paula Abdul's townehouse.
I was cursed hearing this c.d., and long for my departed money so foolishly spent. I am now being exorcised by massive hearings of great singers - Streisand, Celine, Peggy Lee, Sarah Brightman, etc. etc. In fact, it's ABB (anyone but Boyle). Say a prayer for me, light a candle for me. Perhaps the horror will recede.
O.K. I could tell you about every song and try to find value here. And some people try to salvage their experience by mentioning one or two songs that Boyle did "well". But, let's be honest here. There is no song that's great, or even near good. The only reason she got this far was because of public sympathy. Can she sing? Yes. Can I sing? Yes. In fact, we can all sing. Should we get our own c.d. too? Probably not. The world is not fair, plus it has no discernment when it comes to quality.
I am donating this c.d. to a petty thief who is in prison. Perhaps he can mold it to some useful instrument to pick the prison cell door and escape. I am doing this to PROVE to the detractors that it has some destination other than the trash.
