Lowest Price I Dreamed A Dream

After listening to Ms. Boyle's new CD several times just in the last two days I must say that this first effort is outstanding. I will defer a bit to many reviewers who only gave it one star by agreeing that some of the songs are a bit slow in tempo and that at least a couple of them could have been better produced. Indeed, I would have left them off altogether. However, for the most part, this is an amazing singer who's interpretation of previously recorded songs exceeds the originals, at least in my view. And that's very rare. (I just hope she has the good sense to leave Patsy Cline alone.) Her cover of "Cry Me A River" is among the best I've heard and is superbly produced. In fact, I would love for her to do a cover album of 1940 and 50's standards similar to Linda Ronstadt's 1983 album "What's New."
This CD, produced only 6 months after her appearence on British TV, is a well done attempt to satisfy the appetites of millions of ravenous fans. Considering the rush to make that happen I think everyone involved did a wonderful job. I'm very pleased and can't wait for more of Ms. Boyle!Get more detail about I Dreamed A Dream.
